My name is Megan, And this is Crickets adoption story: My mom works with a lady that knew a cat breeder that told her that she has a kitty that was just born with a cleft lip, crooked jaw, and one eye. The breeder claimed she was going to kill the kitten in the next two days because it wasn’t “going to sell.” My mother’s coworker told my mom about the kitten; so, obviously, we knew we had to take this kitten home. I fell in love the second I saw him. When we received Cricket, he was skinny, had diarrhea and didn’t have any of his shots or vaccinations.
Cricket doesn’t have many problems and he isn’t much more work than any other cat! Some special needs kitties require a lot of time and labor and it is always worth it. But Cricket isn’t a whole lot of work! He requires his diet to be mostly soft food due to the cleft lip and crooked jaw. He is a happy and healthy adult cat now and he is loving life! Sometimes he runs crooked but he can sneak attack like any other kitty! ♥️ Hide and Seek is his absolute favorite game to play with me!
We hope to spread the message of #adoptdontshop because no dog or cat should live homelessly. The shelters are full and overcrowded. The other message I need to spread is that #specialneedskitties are awesome and worth adopting! Take a chance on a one-eyed kitty. Take a chance on a wobbly kitty. Take a chance on Love ♥️
