Hi! I’m Jaime, and this is Bowie’s story. The truth is, no one really knows what happened during the first 8 or so weeks of his life. He was spotted shivering outside by himself as a tiny little kitten and was rescued by the AMAZING Michelle’s Kitten Rescue- just north of Toronto.
He seemed to be semi-feral, as he was terrified of all humans. But after lots of patience and gentle introductions, he finally started to warm up to Michelle. Once he was ready for adoption, I found him online and fell completely in love! He was born with heterochromia, which is why he has one blue eye and one green eye- and this made him very popular. Tons of people were sending in applications to adopt him!
Since he’s so shy and cautious, Michelle was super careful with who she chose as Bowie’s furever parents. Since I live in a quiet home with no kids or other pets, she thought we were the best suited for each other. And it was a match made in heaven!
For the first week we had Bowie, we did not see him at all! He hid under the bed for the entire week, and the only sign of him was the food and water getting eaten. So we stayed patient, spent LOTS of quiet time with him just sitting by the bed quietly, and eventually- he started coming out.
Eventually, we were able to start petting him and playing with him, and his little personality quirks started coming out! He’s really such a funny little guy who LOVES lots of attention and love- but sometimes he’s just too shy to admit it. While he’s super comfortable and happy with us now, and his new recently adopted fur-sister, not many other humans have seen the true side of Bowie. He still runs back under the bed to his safe spot when guests come over, but he’s the cutest little spirit ever! He’s easy to fall in love with.
Thank you for visiting our shop! We'd love to donate our proceeds back to Michelle's Kitten Rescue as a thank you for saving this special little guy. Enjoy and follow our journey on Instagram and Youtube @lilbowiecat! 💙💚
